Luxury Everest View Trek (8 Days)

The Luxury Everest View Trek is an 8-day itinerary to Namche Bazaar, the Everest View Hotel and Tengboche Monastery. It shows you Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam from the Khumbu valley with comfortable lodging and without climbing above about 3,900 metres.

Luxury Everest View Trek highlights

  • Views of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam from the Everest View Hotel.
  • Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital, with a full acclimatisation day.
  • Tengboche Monastery, with its Buddhist ceremonies and rhododendron forest.
  • Luxury and semi-luxury lodges where available, and a five-star hotel in Kathmandu.
  • A lower maximum altitude than a Base Camp trek, so it suits first-time trekkers and families.

Who this trek suits

It suits people who want to see Everest from the valley, enjoy the culture, and sleep in comfort, without committing to Base Camp. You can still add a longer trek later, and the Everest Panorama View Trek is a longer alternative.

FAQs

Do I see Everest on this trek?

Yes. Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam are visible from the Everest View Hotel and from Tengboche on a clear day. You do not reach Base Camp on this itinerary.

How high does this trek go?

The highest points are the Everest View Hotel and Tengboche, both at roughly 3,900 metres, so the risk of serious altitude sickness is lower than on Base Camp treks, though it can still occur.

Is this a good trek for families or first-time trekkers?

It is one of the easier ways to experience the Everest region. Daily walking is 3 to 6 hours and the altitude is moderate.

Can I extend this trek to Base Camp?

Yes. Ask the office, or consider our Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek or the Luxury Lodge Trek.
