These terms summarise how Mt Everest Base Camp Trek arranges treks. Your booking confirmation sets out the agreed itinerary, price and payment terms for your trip, and applies together with these terms. Last updated October 2026.
Bookings
A booking is confirmed when the office confirms it in writing with the itinerary, the price and the payment schedule. Prices and inclusions are listed on each trip page and confirmed at booking.
Itinerary changes
Mountain trekking depends on weather, flights, trail conditions and your health. We may change the route, timing or lodging when this is needed for safety, and we will explain the reason. Flights to and from Lukla are often delayed, so keep spare days around your trek.
Health and fitness
Everest region treks reach altitudes where altitude sickness can occur. You are responsible for being fit enough for the trek and for telling your guide about any health condition or symptom. The guide may decide that a trekker should stop, descend or end the trek for safety.
Insurance
You need travel insurance that covers high-altitude trekking up to at least the highest point of your itinerary and emergency helicopter evacuation. Bring a copy of your policy.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund terms depend on the trip and the notice given, and are stated in your booking confirmation. Please read them before you pay.
Responsibility
We arrange the services described in your itinerary using local providers. We are not responsible for events outside our control, such as weather, landslides, strikes, flight cancellations or government restrictions.
